Danielle Dax is one of the most popular and richest Singer who was born on September 23, 1958 in Southend-on-Sea, England, United Kingdom. Danielle Dax (born 23 September 1958) is an English experimental music producer and musician who was most active from the end of the 1970s until the mid-1990s.

In 1984 she made her debut film debut as Wolfgirl (a non-speaking character) as part of The Company of Wolves by Neil Jordan. Her credits in film included scores for the avant-garde short film Axel from Nigel Wingrove.

In 1990, she released her one major-label studio album, Blast the Human Flower, produced by Stephen Street, except for the tracks “Bayou” and “Daisy”, which they produced together. The album’s single, “Tomorrow Never Knows”, joined “Blue Christmas” (her cover of an Elvis Presley tune), “Kites” by Simon Dupree and the Big Sound (during the Lemon Kittens period) and “Hate On Sight”, a track by Shock Headed Peters (included on her Comatose etc. release) as an addition to her covers of other artists’ work. Her last two album releases were in 1995 and consisted of a career retrospective double-album entitled Comatose Non-Reaction: The Thwarted Pop Career of Danielle Dax and an EP of new avant-garde and almost completely instrumental material called Timber Tongue (both on her own Biter Of Thorpe label). Dax’s career in the music business then went on indefinite hiatus and is often referred to as a ‘retirement’.

Since 1996, she has worked in interior design and has appeared several times on the BBC interior design show Homefront, where she won the Designer of the Year Award.

In the beginning of 1982, following the Lemon Kittens entered “extended hibernation”, Dax began her solo career. She recorded and produced album Pop-Eyes (1983) in which she played all of the instruments by herself. It was initially released via the IRC [Initial Recording Company] label sporting her own artwork cover and later re-released by Awesome Records with a Holly Warburton cover. In the mini-album following Jesus Egg That Wept (1984) Dax was assisted in a couple of track through Karl Blake or David Knight. The third album, Inky Bloaters (1987), was the first album she recorded together with David Knight; this as and a number of EPs until that point were released by Awesome Records. Awesome Records. In 1988 the singer-songwriter signed with Sire Records, which released her album Dark Adapted Eye, which included tracks from her previous recordings.

Dax created her “pop” first musical appearance in 1979, after three weeks after joining in the band Amii Toytal along with the Croixroads (which was a pseudonym of The Lemon Kittens – as keyboardist as well as a flautist, saxophonist and keyboard. The first concert was their debut that took place on the Reading University’s Student Union ‘Airport’ Bar. Karl Blake from the Lemon Kittens had had a chance encounter with her three weeks before when the publication of an article on the artist in an area paper. Blake was in dire in need of an artist and so he went to the next Dax’s group for arts where he was introduced to. When he learned that she also played flute and saxophone she was immediately invited to join the group. Dax was a member of the avant-garde music of new wave group Lemon Kittens, she was included on Robert Fripp’s League Of Gentlemen’s 1981 album of the same name and sang the vocals (credited with the slang “Hamsprachtmusic”) on the track “Minor Man”. The track did not appear on the album until it was released on the compilation CD named God Save The King. The artwork she created was used as the album’s cover. Dax also designed the cover of Robert Fripp’s own album”Let the Power Fall. Dax sang vocals on an unreleased track from The Bombay Ducks in which she performed a duet with Robert Wyatt, although they never had a chance to meet. The duet was recorded in the studio, but independently.

In 1989, Dax appeared on the Channel 4 show Star Test, where she was interviewed for 30 minutes by “computer”.
